BAYFIELD, CO (September 25, 2025) – Southwest Ag, Inc., the local Kubota dealer serving Southwest Colorado, is proud to announce that Donald Woodmansee of Ignacio, CO, a U.S. Army National Guard and Marine Corps Veteran, has been awarded a brand-new Kubota SVL65-2 skid steer and attachments through Kubota’s national “Geared to Give” program.
Woodmansee, age 46, dedicated 20 years of service to our country with deployments in Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Bosnia. Today, he owns and operates Sambrito Ranches, LLC and Fire Chief Beef on 72 acres in Ignacio, raising grass-fed stocker beef and working toward regenerative ranching practices.
“This equipment will change everything for us,” Woodmansee explained in his application. “It will save me immensely in digging 5,000 feet of irrigation line, clearing ditches, planting trees, plowing snow, leveling ground, offloading hay, and handling the day-to-day work of running the ranch.”
Southwest Ag, Inc. is honored to play a role in this life-changing gift. “Our mission has always been about supporting those who serve our land and our community,” said Derek Hillyer of Southwest Ag. “Donald’s story embodies hard work, stewardship, and faithfulness—values we hold close as a family-owned business.”
